ABOUT
[ Background ]
Native New Orleans, Ronald Pollard, was inspired to travel the world at twelve years old after being engrossed in and inspired by Mutual of Omahaβs Wild Kingdom. Although he was called to Ministry, he found a way to combine his calling with his extensive training and giftedness in photography.
For nearly thirty years, Ronald continues to fulfill his childhood dream having led hundreds of individuals on Humanitarian Experiences to various parts of Africa, including Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and parts of Europe.
As a proud mentor, I make it my lifeβs work to pour into new and seasoned photographers, young and old, to ensure and educate those who wish to see the complicated beauty of the world through the viewfinder and lens. I specialize in camera techniques, color accuracy, visual storytelling and in some cases, artificial lighting techniques blended with ambient light.
Believing that no artist should be confined to one brand, I have taught across various platforms including Nikon, Canon, Fuji, and Sony.
Because the world is diverse, I seek to mentor and teach students across wide demographics, believing that hands-on collaborative environments make for the best instructions.
My greatest joy is watching my students move on to start their own business, attend various schools for art and design, and continually grow in the way they capture how they view the world around them.
